چکیده
In the present numerical study, thermal performance and fluid flow properties have been investigated to show effect of single-orifice multiple-orifice impingement synthetic jets for dimensionless orifice-toplate distance (H/D) lower than one. Investigations done an actuation frequency f=500 Hz, 0.10 ≤ H/D 0.75, pitch ratio 1.25 Do/D 1.75. The results were validated with experimental from literature, a fair agreement was obtained. showed that at low nozzle-to-plate spacing, target plate temperatures could be It observed use multiple orifices especially higher heat transfer values are present. study performed add knowledge electronics aviation industries where high in small cavities occur.

متن کاملAnalytical and numerical investigation of heat and mass transfer effects on magnetohydrodynamic natural convective flow past a vertical porous plate
The aim of this investigation is to study the effect of hall current on an unsteady natural convective flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting optically thick radiating fluid past a vertical porous plate in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The Rosseland diffusion approximation is used to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation. Analytical a...
متن کاملHybrid RANS/LES of plane jets impinging on a flat plate at small nozzle-plate distances
A k-ω based hybrid RANS/LES (Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes/large eddy simulation) model is tested for simulation of plane impinging jets at various nozzle-plate distances (H/B), where H is the distance and B is the slot’s width) and various Reynolds numbers (based on the slot’s width and the velocity in the symmetry plane). The studied combinations are H/B = 2 for Re = 10 000, H/B = 4 for Re ...
متن کاملHeat Transfer Characteristics of Swirling Impinging Jets
Impinging jets are used in a wide number of industrial cooling applications due to their high heat and mass transfer abilities. The current research is concerned with the effect of swirl on the heat transfer characteristics of jet impingement cooling. Two inserts were designed order to generate swirling flow. These two designs, “Swirl Insert A” and “Swirl Insert B”, were tested at various Reyno...
متن کاملA Numerical Investigation of Impinging Jets
Steady, incompressible flow solutions are found numerically for a radially expanding liquid sheet in order to confirm analytical results for inviscid flow and to investigate viscous and nonlinear effects. An hp-finite element method is used to perform the numerical simulations. Comparisons are made to theoretical predictions of the radius where the sheet becomes unstable. To determine the criti...
